The Anzisha Prize honors young entrepreneurs from Africa who have developed innovative solutions to societal issues or launched successful ventures within their local communities. In its 13th edition, the program follows a three-year fellowship structure, after which participants graduate and become part of the Anzisha Prize alumni network.
Every year, around 30 young entrepreneurs from various African nations are selected to join this fellowship. The initiative offers tailored support to assist participants in expanding their businesses, with their progress evaluated over the three-year period. Special achievements are recognized with a range of rewards, including educational courses, online tools, and financial incentives.

At the conclusion of their second year, fellows will have the chance to present their accomplishments and compete for a portion of a $140,000 USD prize pool.

Grand Prize Categories
- Job Creation Prize: Awarded to the fellow who has generated the most employment opportunities during their time in the program.
- Growth in Revenue Prize: Offered to the innovator who accomplished the biggest business revenue increase while in the programme.
- Storytelling Prize: Recognizes entrepreneurs who have skillfully communicated their journey through various media platforms.
- Integrating Technologies and Processes Prize: Given to those who have successfully implemented systems and processes that enhance their business models.
The African Leadership Academy (ALA), which manages the Anzisha Prize, is committed to building a strong network of entrepreneurial leaders across the African continent. Each year, ALA brings together outstanding young leaders from all 54 African countries for a pre-university program in South Africa that focuses on leadership, entrepreneurship, and African studies. ALA continues to support these leaders through lifelong training, networking, and access to resources designed to drive large-scale social impact.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be African nationals aged between 15 and 22, with a valid ID or passport.
- Eligible applicants must have been born between September 1, 2002, and August 31, 2009.
- Applicants must be actively running a business in Africa that serves African communities.
- The Anzisha Prize is open to established ventures, not merely business ideas or plans; applicants should have a tangible project or business in any industry.
- Applicants must be the founding members of their business; co-founders are also eligible.
