Success Tips for Securing the Inspiring Outstanding Scholarship 2025
For the academic year 2025-2026, KU Leuven offers a fully funded Science Leuven Scholarship, which provides €10,000 to cover tuition, insurance, and living costs for master’s students. The Faculty of Engineering, along with its Alumni Association, invites enthusiastic international students to apply for this opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must not have prior academic or professional experience at KU Leuven.

- Applicants must not already have a master’s or doctorate.
- Applicants should demonstrate strong academic results, with at least a “distinction” expected during studies at KU Leuven.
- Applicants need to show English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 94 (specific section scores required) or an IELTS score of 7 overall (specific minimum scores per section).
- Applicants should have a strong motivation to pursue a master’s degree in the KU Leuven Faculty of Science.
- Applicants must submit two recommendation letters from distinguished professors.
- Applicants must be genuinely willing to act as program ambassadors.

Application Process
- Apply for your preferred master’s program using KU Leuven’s online application system, carefully following the application guidelines.
- Upload the following documents:
- A detailed transcript that includes course titles, credits (ECTS), and grades. If a different rating system is used, include an explanation.
- A brief (half-page to one-page) summary of past or current courses that are most relevant for the master’s program, following ECTS guidelines.
- Two recommendation letters from distinguished professors.
- A personal motivation letter for the program.
- A notification message will be dispatched upon submission of the graduate school application.
- Apply for the Science Leuven Scholarship via the provided link and include the confirmation email from your master’s program application.
Your application is complete once you receive notification confirming your registration for the Science Leuven Scholarship.
